So I finally made it over to the new Smiling Moose Deli in downtown Denver and tried one of their gluten free sandwiches. The menu clearly indicates which of their regular selections, including some of their breakfast sandwiches, can be made gluten free or you can build your own.
I had a turkey club on a tasty Sweet Escape roll. They also have a few salads and vegetarian items that can be gluten free. The staff all seem aware of cross contamination issues and a manager is on hand to answer questions and assure you!
The manager I spoke to believes all the Colorado locations use Sweet Escape gluten free items but was not sure about the out of state locations (Montana, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin and adding more monthly it seems…) This will be a great new favorite for me.
