Check For Gluten Free dining In A Smartphone App
Have a smartphone? Try the Find Me Gluten Free app. It is useful for locating user-contributed GF ideas! Check for it in the app store.
What I don’t like about this app is that a few reviewers leave bad reviews for restaurants for things like a bad wait person or long wait time when it is seemingly not relevant to the gluten-free situation…so know that before you use the app.

These are a few of pointers:
- Stash a few GF health bars in your purse just in case.
- Take a few minutes to investigate options. Come up with a few Gluten Free dining options.
- If this is your first time to a Gluten Free dining in ‘Āhuimanu , choose foods that are probably gluten-free – meats, salads, fruits and that kind of thing. Now may not be a good time to try GF pasta or cake – if you’ve never been to the place before!
- Another thing, dine at less busy times of day. Plan dinner earlyish or have a late lunch. Show up when you can easily have the complete attention of the wait staff and the cooks aren’t slammed.
