{"id":76,"date":"2009-09-01T20:52:00","date_gmt":"2009-09-01T20:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/happyglutenfree.com\/?p=76"},"modified":"2020-03-29T23:32:58","modified_gmt":"2020-03-29T23:32:58","slug":"great-gluten-free-all-purpose-flour-mix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/happyglutenfree.com\/great-gluten-free-all-purpose-flour-mix\/","title":{"rendered":"Great Gluten Free All Purpose Flour Mix"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p>It is tough to find a gluten free flour that you can subsitute\u00a0easily in place of\u00a0 &#8220;regular&#8221; flour.\u00a0 Usually the taste, look and texture change with the change(s) in\u00a0flour.<\/p>\n<p>We have finally\u00a0happily settled in with Eating Gluten Free&#8217;s All Purpose Flour Mix.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We have used it mostly in breakfast dishes, like dutch babies and roll-up pancakes which GF pancakes mixes don&#8217;t work for,\u00a0 but have also used the\u00a0flour successfully to make chocolate chip cookies and banana bread as well as tossing in a few teaspoons or tablespoons for flour when called for in marinades or sauces.<\/p>\n<p>We do not always add the xantham gum as recommended on the package but\u00a0to each their own &#8211; getting gluten free foods to your liking is always an experiment.\u00a0 We hope to get more adventurous soon\u00a0and try bread and some other cookie types as well as experiment with\u00a0their cookbook, but for now are happy with having something on hand\u00a0that makes for easy baking.<\/p>\n<p>We tried Eating Gluten Free&#8217;s All Purpose Flour for the first time at Denver&#8217;s Gluten Free Fair last June.\u00a0 This annual event held at El Jebel in June\u00a0 is a great place to sample new gluten free products, particularly those, like Eating Gluten Free,\u00a0that may not be readily available in your local grocery stores.<\/p>\n<p>I am\u00a0blogging about this great company today because\u00a0 they are having a great sale right now.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0For more information visit their website at www.eatingglutenfree.com\u00a0 Their\u00a0website also has lots of recipes and\u00a0some great pointers about gluten free cooking!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is tough to find a gluten free flour that you can subsitute\u00a0easily in place of\u00a0 &#8220;regular&#8221; flour.\u00a0 Usually the taste, look and texture change with the change(s) in\u00a0flour.
