Gluten-Free Bread

Sandwich bread, buns, dinner rolls. Can you live without them?fpo-gluten-free-product

That would be hard! Fortunately, you don’t have to give them up.

But when you eat gluten-free, your gluten-free bread options are definitely more limited and more expensive.

This page is dedicated to sharing the various national brands of gluten-free bread available. I have sorted them into bread types including gluten-free sandwich bread, buns, dinner rolls, bagels, and English Muffins.

These are the nine major brands that are widely available across the United States and Canada. Refer to their websites for the latest information about which breads they have available.

Also, keep in mind that if you can’t find the bread you want locally, you can always order it online.

Gluten-free sandwich bread

More and more gluten-free sandwich breads are coming to market every day. Several small local bakeries make gluten-free bread too – so it is always worth checking them out and supporting them!

Below are the brands and the types of sandwich bread available. All nine brands offer sandwich bread.

Unfortunately, there is very little price difference between brands. Expect to pay $5 or more per loaf.

I’ve lumped cinnamon raisin breads in here even though I don’t think I would classify it as “sandwich bread”.

Gluten-free buns

It’s great to have gluten-free buns available now for hamburgers and hot dogs. Frankly, we were eating gluten-free before these were available and I got used to eating my hamburgers and hot dogs without buns (and I like it better that way now).

The buns listed below are awesome to have. But, as you may already know from other gluten-free breads, they are different than wheat flour buns.

They are dense and tend to be much more filling (in my opinion). My wife and I put our kids burgers on half a bun.

That said, give them a try and see what you think!
