Gluten Free Breakfast in Charleston

It is possible to find a Gluten Free Breakfast around Charleston,  South Carolina but it may take a little patience!

Read this, because we’ve got a few ideas.

Remember, not every place tells Google and the other gluten-free apps that they offer GF choices.

When you find a restaurant that looks or sounds appealing, give them a call and check if they have anything GF!

When you find a place with gluten-free, check with your wait person what other local spots they recommend!

Check For Gluten Free Breakfast In An App

If you have a smartphone, then try the Find Me Gluten Free app. It is helpful for locating user-contributed gluten-free options! Look for it in the app store.

What I don’t like about this app is that some reviewers poorly rate restaurants for things like a bad wait person or long wait time when it is seemingly not relevant to the gluten-free situation…so know that before you use the app.

No Options? Here’s What To Do

Once in a while there is no Gluten Free Breakfast for one reason or another. What do you do?

Have A Plan

Being spontaneous and gluten free is hard!

Don’t let yourself get in situations where you are hungry but not clear where to go for food!

That almost always leads to bad decisions!

Included are a few of recommendations:

  1. Keep a couple GF protein bars in your bag in case.
  2. Take your time to research the area. Come up with a few Gluten Free Breakfast options.
  3. If you’ve never been to a Gluten Free Breakfast in Charleston , stick with foods that are probably GF – meats, salads, fruits and that kind of thing. This may not be a good time to test gluten free pasta or cake – if you’ve never been to the place !
  4. Another thing, eat out at less busy times. Plan dinner earlyish or try for a late lunch. Arrive at a time you can have the full attention of your wait staff and the chefs aren’t overwhelmed.
