Look For Gluten Free Cafe In A Smartphone App
If you have a smartphone, then try the Find Me Gluten Free app. It is useful for identifying user-contributed GF ideas! Search for it in the app store.
What I don’t like about this app is that occasionally reviewers leave bad reviews for restaurants for reasons like they didn’t like the meal or long wait time when it is seemingly irrelevant to the the gluten free questions…so know that before you use the app.

Being spontaneous and gluten free is hard!
Never get in situations where you are starving and unsure where to go for food!
This puts you in a bad situation!
These are a few of recommendations:
- Stash a few GF health bars in your purse just in case.
- Take your time to do some research. Come up with a few Gluten Free Cafe options.
- If you’ve never been to a Gluten Free Cafe in Chevy Chase , choose foods that are probably gluten-free – meats, salads, fruits and that kind of thing. Now is not likely the best time to try gluten free pasta or cake – if you’ve never been to this place before!
- Lastly, eat out at off-peak times. Have dinner earlyish or have a late lunch. Show up when you can easily have the full attention of the wait staff and the chefs aren’t overwhelmed.
