Look For Gluten Free Restaurant In A Smartphone App

Have a smartphone? Try the Find Me Gluten Free app. The app is helpful for locating user-contributed gluten free places! Check for it in the app store.

What I don’t like about this app is that occasionally reviewers poorly rate restaurants for reasons like a bad wait person or menu choices when it is kind of not relevant to the the gluten free questions…so know that before you use the app.

Not Seeing Any Options? Here’s What To Do

Some towns have more GF choices than others. When are unable to find any good restaurant choices, here is what to do.

Baltimore has supermarkets and gas stations which have food you can eat. Shop for safe choices like chips, candy, nuts, cheese, and lots of other options. I offer a free book with over 1,000 gluten free foods on this website. Look for it – it’s free!

Plan Ahead

It’s hard to be GF AND spontaneous about dining out.

Never get in situations where you are starved but unsure where to eat!

It’s hard on you and those you are with!

Included are a couple of recommendations:

  1. Keep a couple GF protein bars in your bag in case.
  2. Spend time to do some research. Come up with a few Gluten Free Restaurant options.
  3. If this is your first time to a Gluten Free Restaurant in Baltimore , stay with foods that are probably gluten free – meats, salads, fruits and that kind of thing. This is not likely a good time to experiment with gluten-free pasta or cake – if you’ve never been there before!
  4. One last thing, eat out at less busy times of day. Plan dinner earlyish or have a late lunch. Get there when you can have the complete attention of your wait person and the chefs aren’t slammed.
