Look For Gluten Free Restaurant In A Smartphone App
Have a smartphone? Try the Find Me Gluten Free app. It is helpful for finding user-contributed GF ideas! Search for it in the app store.
What I don’t like about this app is that occasionally reviewers leave bad reviews for restaurants for things like someones personality or long wait time when it is seemingly not relevant to the the gluten free questions…so know that before you use the app.
No Options? Here’s What To Do
Some cities have more gluten free options than others. When you can’t find any acceptable restaurant , here is what to do.
East Berlin has grocers and gas stations which are a big help. Shop for groceries like protein bars, candy, nuts, cheese, and lots of other options. I offer a free ebook with over 1,000 GF foods on this site. It’s Free!
Have A Plan
It’s difficult to be GF AND spontaneous about food.
Never get in situations where you are hungry and are not sure where to go for food!
It can lead to disaster!
These are a couple of tips:
- Keep a couple GF health bars in your car or bag just in case.
- Take a few minutes to investigate options. Come up with a few Gluten Free Restaurant options.
- If this is your first time to a Gluten Free Restaurant in East Berlin , stick with foods that are probably GF – meats, salads, fruits that sort of thing. This is probably not a good time to explore gluten free pasta or cake – if you’ve never been to the place before!
- Lastly, eat out at less busy times. Eat dinner earlyish or have a late lunch. Get there at a time you will easily have the undivided attention of your wait staff and the chefs aren’t overwhelmed.
